MonKey’s budget planner works as budget planning software and an online budget planner app: set income and spending, categorize costs, and use it as your spending tracker and expense tracker for everyday expense tracking.

Budget Item Details

The Budget Item Details feature allows users to view and edit the details of a specific budget item.

To view or edit a budget item:

  1. Navigate to the Budget page
  2. Find the budget item you want to view or edit in the table
  3. Click the "View and Edit" button (eye icon) in the Actions column
  4. A modal dialog will open showing the item details
  5. You can edit any of the fields:
    • Item name
    • Category
    • Operation type (Spending or Income)
    • Amount
  6. Click "Save" to save your changes or "Cancel" to discard them

Spending and expense tracking

Treat Budget as your spending tracker: review income versus expenses, tighten categories that overspend, and keep expense tracking aligned with the limits you set in the budget planner.
